Protect Midhurst and Easebourne

The South Downs National Park Authority is consulting on its new Local Plan. The consultation closes at 23:59 on 23 June 2026.

This website has been created to help local residents understand what is being proposed, why many people are concerned, and how to make their views known before the deadline.

We are particularly concerned about further development in and around Midhurst and Easebourne, including Land West of Budgenor Lodge. Our local roads, water supply, drainage systems, healthcare services and green spaces are already under pressure.

Further large-scale housing development risks increasing traffic on the A286, adding pressure to Hollist Lane and other local roads, damaging valuable countryside, affecting wildlife habitats, and placing even more demand on stretched local services.

Residents are encouraged to submit their own comments to the South Downs National Park Authority before the deadline.

Please do not simply copy one standard response. Personal comments carry more weight. Use the points on this website to help write your own objection in your own words.
